WHAT'S NEW TODAY?

I called my insurance company to make sure I have earthquake insurance. As I figured, unless you add it as a 'rider' to your current policy, chances are you don't have it. I had to go round and round with them because they would not add it due to the fact my house has stone exterior walls. I made sure they understood that as most brick or stone homes in Oklahoma are built, it was strictly a veneer for looks and that my house underneath is a frame home. After speaking with the higher up, they finally agreed to add it. So don't take no for an answer until you have pushed them if you are having the same problem. The deductible on my policy is 15% and they will not cover the stone veneer, but I got it at an extra cost of $201 per year. Good luck...
